At the end of October, Song Da 11 Joint Stock Company (Song Da Group) exceeded its annual plan targets. All categories set by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders at the beginning of the year such as: Output, revenue, pre-tax profit, budget contribution to employment, income for over 1,500 employees of the entire Company all met and exceeded the plan.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son - General Director of Song Da 11 said that over the past 45 years since Song Da 11 was gathered to establish a specialized unit in mechanics - machine installation - electricity and water, it is a key member of Song Da Group with the function of being responsible for all construction items, supplying electricity and water for daily life and construction for forces participating in project construction. With this major, Song Da 11's officers, technicians and workers are all trained through vocational schools to quickly access advanced machinery and equipment on large projects.
In 2010, the Company completed the handover and put into use the entire power supply system, water supply for daily life and construction work for construction forces on key projects such as: Son La Hydropower Plant, Ban Ve (Nghe An), Nam Chien, Hua Na, Song Mien and projects that the Group is investing in and constructing in Laos.
The highlight of Song Da 11 is the concentration of capital, motorbikes and human resources to complete the 500KV Son La - Hoa Binh power transmission lines; the 500KV Son La to Hiep Hoa line - connecting the 110KV transmission line from Tuan Giao to Lai Chau. From now on and even during the 2011 Lunar New Year, the Company's affiliated units that are constructing in the South will urgently erect poles and pull wires to meet the requirements of the electricity industry on the 500KV Phu Lam - O Mon line and the Long Thanh - Nhon Trach line (Dong Nai). With construction areas spread across all regions of the country, they all have the common characteristic of being key and urgent projects. Therefore, the Company's employees must strive to overcome all difficulties, dangers and complexities when constructing power lines passing through rivers, mountains, streams and passes in remote areas. To overcome obstacles and successfully complete the tasks, the Company's leaders have regularly closely followed, encouraged, trained, rewarded and cared for the material life of employees to stabilize their spirit and ensure work and labor in remote areas. In 2010, the output reached over 1,000 billion VND, a record that Song Da 11 has never achieved before.
General Director Nguyen Van Son said: This is a very encouraging signal for most of those who are working and laboring at Song Da 11. The outstanding efforts of the technical staff, managers and labor force have actively completed the set targets to bring many main items and hand over projects to investors.
By the end of October 2010, the company's revenue had reached 1,039 billion VND, exceeding 30% of the plan; profit of 54 billion VND, the balance paid to the State budget was up to 19% per year; the company's equity had grown to 311 billion VND, an increase of nearly 80 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year, ensuring jobs for 1,530 people with an average salary of 4.5 million VND/person/month.
In 2010, in addition to ensuring the construction of key State projects, the Company won bids for many packages with output values of 100 - 161 billion VND; invested in and expanded the exploitation of construction materials at Luong Son Hoa Binh quarry, maximized capacity to sell electricity at Thac Trang - Dien Bien hydropower plant (owned by the Company), especially invested in the construction of residential areas in Phuong Lam Ward, Hoa Binh City; Nhon Trach New Urban Area (Dong Nai). Regarding the orientation and implementation plan for 2011 of Song Da 11, Mr. Nguyen Bach Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors said that from this time, the enterprises: Song Da 11.5, and Song Da Thang Long will implement the construction package to install a 500KV power line from Phan Thiet to Binh Duong, 48km long, with an output value of 120 billion VND. This is a key project invested by EVN, Song Da 11 is one of the main contractors that signed the handover in Ho Chi Minh City recently.
The hottest point of Song Da 11.1 operating in the Northwest region is focusing on the construction and installation of water pipelines, stations and power lines to promptly serve the construction forces on the key national project right after the groundbreaking day of the Lai Chau 1,200MW Hydropower Project (December 22, 2010).
Accordingly, the groundbreaking ceremony will be held for the construction of an 8MW hydropower plant invested, operated and operated by Song Da 11. After the Lunar New Year, the Company will dispatch more than 300 soldiers to Laos to undertake bidding packages serving the construction of the Xekaman 3, Xekaman 1 and SeKong hydropower projects. It is expected that the output value in 2011 will reach over 1,100 billion VND, pre-tax profit will be nearly 50 billion VND, budget contribution will be 59 billion VND, striving to bring the average salary from 4.5 - 5 million VND/person/month.
